A delegation from Mexico visited NIMS

(Oct. 19, 2006) The delegation is from the state of Nuevo Leon, Mexco, the capital of which is Monterrey, third biggest city in Mexco.
The members were
Ing. Antonio Zarate. - CEO of Nuevo Leon’s Institute for Innovation and Technology Transfer and President of Monterrey City of Knowledge
Ing. Jose Antonio Gonzalez.- President of the Autonomous University of Nuevo Leon. Mexico (UANL)
Dr. Ubaldo Ortiz.- Vice- President for Academic Affairs (UANL)
Dr. Carlos Medina.- Director of International Relations (UANL)
Dr. Pedro Antonio Villezca.- Director of the Asian Studies Center (UANL).
Mr. Raul Urteaga-Trani, Miniter of Embassy of Mexco in Tokyo also joined the delegation.
They met with Dr. Kitagawa, Vice President of NIMS, to exchange views among the institutions involved, and explore possibilities for collaboration, and then visited laboratories on nanotechnology (Drs. Aono, Hasegawa and Nakayama) and biotechnology (Drs. Taniguchi and Uchida ).
