NIMS signed an International Cooperative Graduate Program (ICGP) Agreement with University of Strasbourg (UNISTRA), France.

A Signing Ceremony was held on January 26, 2015 at Tsukuba. This agreement is aimed to promote exchange of students and scientists.
UNISTRA was founded in 1631 and had been divided in three since 1970 and again was integrated in as UNISTRA in 2009. NIMS delegation visited UNISTRA in March 2013 for the first time and offer an explanation about International Cooperative Graduate Program (ICGP). The result of continuing courteous discussions and workshops for two years, the signing ceremony of the agreement was held on January 26, 2015 at Tsukuba during UNISTRA-NIMS Workshop at NIMS.
The signing of the agreement is believed not only to reinforce the existing research collaborations but also to enhance personal and academic exchanges with institutions in all France and, moreover, those in Europe countries through UNISTRA in addition to University of Rennes 1 which is the first ICGP in France.
