Nanonet Japan announces that it will hold the 7th International Symposium on Nanotechnology (JAPAN NANO 2009).

Abstract

Ⅰ.Content of Symposium and Expected Results

Nanotechnology is a technology which makes it possible to create materials and devices that are compatible with the environment and contributes to efficient utilization of energy by controlling substances at the nanometer level. This Symposium will introduce the condition of research and development that challenges the energy and environmental problems confronting humankind using nanotechnology in Japan and other nations.
The Keynote Address will be delivered by Vice President Yoichi Kaya of the Research Institute of Innovative Technology for the Earth (RITE). Guest lectures will be presented by frontline researchers from Japan and other nations who are engaged in research using nanotechnology to solve environmental and energy problems. The aim of the Symposium is to provide a platform for understanding the issues and research trends in nanotechnology research in connection with environmental and energy problems by introducing the most recent condition of R&D in these fields.
