NIMS recently issued “NIMS CORROSION DATA SHEET NO. 1C, Data Sheet on Atmospheric Corrosion Properties of Fe-Cr and Fe-Ni Binary Alloys” as part of its effort to improve the intellectual infrastructure under its Mid-Term Program.
Abstract
The National Institute for Materials Science (President: Sukekatsu Ushioda) recently issued “NIMS CORROSION DATA SHEET NO. 1C, Data Sheet on Atmospheric Corrosion Properties of Fe-Cr and Fe-Ni Binary Alloys” as part of its effort to improve the intellectual infrastructure under its Mid-Term Program.
This Data Sheet clarifies the atmospheric corrosion properties over a 10 year period for binary alloys in which Cr or Ni is added as the main alloying element to low alloy steel corrosion-resistant materials.
NIMS administers work related to the issuance of Data Sheets in accordance with the ISO 9001 “Quality Management System” (JIS Q 9001 “Quality Management System”) certified on May 20, 2002.
