NIMS Issues Data Sheets

The National Institute for Materials Science (President: Sukekatsu Ushioda) issued the following four kinds of data sheets on March 31, 2014.

(1) Creep Data Sheet

(2) Fatigue Data Sheet
"NIMS Fatigue Data Sheet No.118: Data Sheets on Low- and High-Cycle Fatigue Properties of SUS630 (16Cr-4Ni-4Cu) Stainless Steel"

(3) Corrosion Data Sheet
"No.3C Data Sheets on Atmospheric Corrosion Properties of Carbon Steel and Weather-Resistant Steel" and "CoF-1 Cross-Sections of Rust Formed on Exposed Test Pieces: Cross-Sections of Rust on SM490A Carbon Steel and SMA490 and SPA-H Weather-Resistant Steel"

(4) Space Use Materials Strength Data Sheet
(Collaboration with the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (President: Naoki Okumura) "No.21 Data Sheets on High-Cycle Fatigue Properties of Alloy 718 (1228 K ST) Base Metal and Welded Joints: Effects of Notches" and "No.22 Data Sheets on Fatigue Crack Propagation Properties of Alloy 718 (1228 K ST) Base Metal and Welded Joints"

Since the data sheets issued to date have made notable achievements as reference data that serve as standards in their respective domains of application, the above data sheets are also expected to be put to wide use.
