Summary of my high resolution AFM studies in these 5 years

 I started my research life in NIMS with a will to learn simultaneous STM (scanning tunneling microscopy) and AFM (atomic force microscopy), and I believe that my will has been mostly achived. In the first study, I learned how to perform AFM imaging and spectroscopic measurements from the group leader, an exchange student and an ICYS postdoc. Two papers that we published were highly evaluated, which brought new research funding and invitations to international conferences. The development of STM/AFM performed under JST-PRESTO and NIMS project has arrived, after overcoming several difficulties, at the stage where I can prove multi-scalability. In this talk, I will summarize my work in these 5 years and introduce my future plan.
